November is Juvenile Diabetes Awareness Month!

November is national juvenile diabetes awareness month and this month is a very busy month for me. As most of you know, my son, Bryson was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes 4 years ago at the age of 8. Like any other parent, the news of this was devastating....it still is. But as we go through life, we have choices to make. And the choice I made for myself was to be proactive and this is when Crimson Clover was born. I have spent the past 4 years making jewlery and donating a big portion of the proceeds to the JDRF in my sons name and every year we create a special piece where 100% of the proceeds are donated to the JDRF research project. I am so blessed to be able to stay at home with my 5 children and create pieces for all of you to enjoy and know that I'm doing what God has put me on this Earth to do. This is my mission and my passion in life and I won't stop until we find a cure!

I wanted to take the time to share with you some of my favorite diabetes products on Etsy. You can buy the Crimson Clover diabetes necklace HERE.
I just LOVE this awesome cuff bracelet! It is so cool. I think I'm going to have to get one for Bryson. You can check it out HERE.

This diabetes bracelet is simple yet eleagant.....so pretty. Check it out HERE.

This diabetes bracelet is very cool, as well. I love the rustic feel of it with the pearls. You can find it HERE.

This shirt is just fun. Bryson laughed when he saw it. Sometimes you just have to have fun in light of a not so good situation. You can find it HERE.

What a great solution for sleeping!! Bryson's clip that holds his pump is just not comfortable when sleeping. This is fabulous!! I love it!! You can find it HERE.

This is such a cute necklace and it has my favorite black and white damask print! So so cute!! Check it out HERE.

And this necklace is just beautiful! I love how it is very unisex feeling and reminds me of the Lucky Brand jewelry that I love so much. Just gorgeous! You can find it HERE.

Help us find a cure for this devastating disease!

  17. Just needed to comment on this post! First I have to say thank you for donating towards JD, every little bit helps. I too was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 8 years old. At the time I didn't really understand what was happening and just learnt to live with it. I've now had it for almost 18 years and while it has become a part of my life I do pray for a cure one day. I can't imagine using a pump but for your son no doubt it is just what he has learnt.

  18. Prevention and treatment of this disease involve maintaining a healthy diet, regular physical exercise, a normal body weight, and avoiding use of tobacco. Control of blood pressure and maintaining proper foot care are important for people with the disease. therapy and diabetes treatment also works.
